As we wrap up another week, I can't help but reflect on the incredible events that unfolded over the past few days. It has been an absolute whirlwind of excitement and emotions! Just yesterday, we launched our limited edition Support a Cause candle called Bravery, and let me tell you, it's truly something special.
The Bravery Candle campaign has been such an emotional and impactful one. It's amazing how it touches people in different ways, but with the same goal of making a difference. I've been moved to tears by some of the people I've met, comments on our Facebook launch video and emails, and I wanted to share a couple with you to show just how special this candle truly is...
"I'm in love with the fact that this candle was released on 2/3. On that exact day in 2006, I received the news that I had cancer. And here I am today, 18 years later, ordering my Bravery candle as a survivor!!!"
"This is absolutely fabulous! The MACC fund is such a deserving cause, and I adore the name of the candle, Bravery. Whenever I light it, I'll be saying a prayer for Emmett and his family. As a cancer survivor myself, I know firsthand the strength that can be gained through the power of prayer. Ordering my candle right now!"
This special candle was inspired by my college friends, Ben and Claire, whose son Emmett is bravely battling childhood leukemia. Their strength, resilience, and hope introduced me to the MACC Fund, an incredible organization dedicated to combating childhood cancer (check out another blog I wrote about this candle and the MACC Fund here). We are donating 100% of the profits from this candle to their cause, aiming to make a significant impact in this fight.
Ben and Claire also inspired the choice of lavender as the scent for the Bravery candle. Known for its soothing properties, lavender can be a calming presence for those undergoing chemotherapy. I'm filled with anticipation to see the impact this candle will make because I believe that together, we can truly create change.
In under 2 days, we've already raised $846 and counting!
