Sunday Reflections ✨ 7.06.2025

This week, I’ve been reflecting on the rollercoaster that is entrepreneurship. For those of you that don't know, my husband and I recently launched Luba Libations, a non-alcoholic cocktail brand born out of a shared passion for creating something meaningful and inclusive. But let me tell you - this journey has been anything but smooth sailing.

Entrepreneurship has a way of humbling you. Some days feel like a punch to the gut, knocking the wind out of you when you least expect it. Other days stretch you to your very limits, testing your patience, your resilience, and your belief in yourself. There are moments when you find yourself questioning everything - why you started, whether you’re cut out for this, and if the sacrifices are worth it. It’s not easy to admit, but those thoughts creep in, especially on the hard days.

It reminds me of when we launched our Ukraine candle. What started as a heartfelt initiative to support a cause we cared deeply about quickly turned into a logistical nightmare. The overwhelming demand was both a blessing and a challenge. We had to implement a 12+ week lead time, deal with supply chain delays, and navigate a mountain of unexpected hurdles. It was chaos, plain and simple. But looking back, it was also one of the most transformative experiences of my life. It taught me that growth often comes disguised as struggle.

Launching Luba has been no different. There have been countless late nights, moments of doubt, and challenges that seemed insurmountable at the time. But through it all, I’ve learned (and continue to learn) so much - not just about running a business, but about myself. I’ve learned how to adapt, how to persevere, and how to find strength in the face of uncertainty. I’ve also learned a lot about the people around me - the ones who show up, who believe in you, and who remind you that you’re not in this alone. Those people are everything.

The truth is, the bumps in the road are necessary. They force you to grow, to innovate, and to dig deeper than you ever thought possible. They remind you that nothing worth having comes easy, and that the journey is just as important as the destination.

So, if you’re in the thick of it right now, whether you’re building a business, chasing a dream, or simply trying to get through a tough season, know this: the struggles are part of the story. They’re shaping you, refining you, and preparing you for what’s ahead. And one day, you’ll look back and realize that the bumps weren’t just obstacles- they were stepping stones.

Keep going. You’re stronger than you think, and the best is yet to come.
