Sunday Reflections ✨ 1.26.2025

Comparison is the thief of joy. I know we say it, agree with it, even nod our heads emphatically when we hear it. And yet, haven't we all fallen into that trap? We're scrolling through photos, hearing stories, flipping through fleeting moments of someone else's life, wondering why we aren't where they are, why we don't have what they have... and in doing so, we lose sight of what we do have. It’s sneaky, isn’t it? How easily joy slips away when we measure ourselves against someone else’s ruler.

I want to tell you a story about a conversation that stuck with me. Someone once told me they wished they had a million dollars to give to causes they care about. They spoke with such longing, as if their kindness had become conditional to a number they’d never quite reach. And you know what I told them? That dollar amounts don’t corner the market on making a difference. You don’t need to give a fortune to give of yourself. Donate your time. Show up. Care a little harder. Smile a little wider. Love a little deeper. That’s where impact lives.

It’s easy to fall into this mindset of “not enough.” Not giving enough, not achieving enough, not being enough. But what if, the next time you felt that pang of comparison, you turned it into a moment of self-gratitude instead? What if you stopped chasing the “what ifs” of someone else’s life and instead celebrated what’s already beautiful about yours?

Here’s a small challenge for your week ahead. Take one moment—just one—to pause and tell yourself something you’re truly proud of. Big or small, it doesn’t matter. Did you help someone? Did you make it through a tough day? Did you give something your all? That’s your win. Celebrate it.

Because at the end of the day, joy isn’t found in someone else’s shining moments. It’s cultivated in your own life, in your own heart, by honoring your story and your successes. Don’t lose the beauty of yourself chasing an image of what you think you should be. You’re already enough—just as you are.

Wishing you light, love, and joy as you step into this week. Remember, YOU are worth celebrating. Every single day.
