Our 2025 Impact Report 💛

Our 2025 Impact Report 💛

Creating Change, One Candle at a Time

2025 was a year of hope, resilience, and the incredible power of community. At Door County Candle Company, every candle we pour is a symbol of love, light, and the belief that together, we can make a difference.

Thanks to your unwavering support, we were able to donate over $60,000 to nonprofit organizations, touching countless lives and bringing hope to those who needed it most.

At the heart of everything we do is our mission: Candles Creating Change®. This mission fuels our passion to use the simple act of lighting a candle to spark hope, healing, and action.

Support a Cause Candles: Lighting the Way for Change

In 2025, we continued to expand the reach of our Support a Cause Candles, turning light into action. Here’s how this collection made an impact this year:

  • Golden State Candle: In response to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, California, we created the Golden State Candle to support recovery efforts. Profits were donated to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief, aiding those impacted by the disaster.
  • Jamaica Candle: After Hurricane Melissa struck, we introduced the Jamaica Candle, with donations going to the American Red Cross for disaster relief. These donations are helping communities rebuild and recover.
  • Texas Candle: In the wake of the Texas flooding, we donated profits from the Texas Candle to the Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country, supporting the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and providing much-needed assistance to affected areas.
  • Ukraine Candle: The candle that started it all—our special Ukraine Candle—continued to shine brightly. Donations to Razom for Ukraine provide critical aid to those affected by the ongoing crisis. One of the most heartfelt moments this year was receiving a beautiful canvas from Razom, showcasing photos of our tin candles across Ukraine. These candles, accompanied by handwritten notes of love and support, continue to bring light and hope to those enduring unimaginable challenges.

A Year of Giving Back & Making an Impact

Beyond our Support a Cause Candles, we partnered with countless nonprofits through our virtual fundraising program and special candle collaborations.

Here are just a few organizations we were honored to support in 2025 through special candles and our virtual fundraising program:

  • Feeding America of Eastern Wisconsin: We brought back our special holiday campaign for a second year, featuring our Warm Apple Pie candle.
  • Walk to End Alzheimer's: We proudly announced that profits from our 16oz In the Vineyard traditional candle now benefit the Walk to End Alzheimer's.
  • Northern Door Child Care Project: We’ve launched a special candle called Lucia Strong in honor of a brave young girl in our community who is courageously battling cancer. Lucia and her family are proud locals of the Door County area, and this initiative is a way to show our support and strength for them.
  • Dillon Family Foundation: Former Packers player AJ Dillon and his wife Gabrielle visited our shop to create and name the Peninsula Paradise candle, with profits supporting their foundation.
  • Children First Development Center Inc
  • Sturgeon Bay Schools
  • Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County
  • Altrusa
  • GiGi's Playhouse Madison
  • Golden House
  • Door CANcer
  • MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer)
  • Whitefish Bay High School Choir Friends
  • Sevastopol School District
  • ...and MANY more!

Each donation tells a story of hope, resilience, and the incredible strength of community—and these are just a few!

Honors and Recognitions

2025 was also a year filled with incredible milestones, and I was deeply honored to receive several recognitions that reflect the heart of our mission:

  • I was deeply honored to be named one of 2025’s Remarkable Women in Northeast Wisconsin by We Are Green Bay. This recognition celebrates the impact of Door County Candle Company and the incredible community that makes it all possible.
  • Receiving the Advocacy Flower at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s was a touching experience, and it inspires us to deepen our partnership with this incredible nonprofit in 2026.

Introducing Luba Libations

In 2025, we were thrilled to launch our sister company, Luba Libations—a non-alcoholic, all-natural cocktail brand named after my dear grandmother (Baba) Luba, who continues to inspire us every day! This venture has been a heartfelt way to celebrate my Ukrainian roots and my grandmother’s legacy while sharing it with the incredible community at Door County Candle Company. And what’s better? Guests can now enjoy a refreshing Luba while creating their own candles at the candle bar! With Luba, we are also committed to giving back by donating 1% of sales to sustainability initiatives

The Candle Bar

We’ve had another incredible season at our Candle Bar! Thousands of customers joined us to pour their own memories, making this experience a cherished part of our story. The Candle Bar has become a special place where moments are celebrated—anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, and so much more. We’re truly honored to be part of so many meaningful chapters in our customers’ lives.

Virtual Fundraising Program

We are thrilled to announce exciting additions to our virtual fundraising program in 2026, including an online resource of customizable assets. This asset library will empower organizations to easily personalize materials to support their fundraisers, helping to amplify their efforts and make an even greater impact. It’s just one of the many ways we’re committed to supporting incredible nonprofits near and far.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on 2025, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible community that makes this all possible. Every candle you light, every story you share, and every cause you support fuels our mission to create positive change in the world.

We are excited to continue this journey with you in 2026 and beyond. Together, we’ll keep shining a light on important causes and spreading hope, one candle at a time.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our mission. Here’s to another year of making a difference—together.

With gratitude and light,
Christiana & The Door County Candle Team
