When hurricanes Helene and Milton swept through, leaving destruction in their wake, our hearts were with the communities affected by these devastating storms. We knew we wanted to take action by adding this candle to our Support A Cause line. Over the years, we’ve created Support A Cause candles for various causes such as Ukraine, Hurricane Ian, the earthquake in Turkey, and food insecurity in Wisconsin (just to name a few)—always doing our best to jump in and make a difference.
Our Support a Cause line was born from our Ukraine Candle initiative, and since then, we've been able to donate $1.1M+ to various causes.
That’s how the Beachside Hurricane Helene & Milton Candle initiative came to life. From October 3 through December 2024, we offered Beachside - Hurricane Helene & Milton Relief, a limited-edition scent inspired by ocean breezes and calming coastlines, with 100% of all profits going directly to the American Red Cross. This is the same candle we launched for Hurricane Ian in 2022, which is why Beachside became our go-to hurricane relief candle.
Thanks to the incredible support from our customers, together we were able to donate $10,070.69 to aid disaster relief efforts for those impacted by these hurricanes.
This initiative was a true labor of love, one that brought people together in extraordinary ways. One of our seasonal team members leaned even further into the spirit of giving by deploying with the American Red Cross to assist on the ground. Her willingness to step in during such a critical time reminded us all of the extraordinary things people can do when we come together to make a difference.
It’s impossible to overstate how vital our Candles Creating Change community was in making this happen. To everyone who purchased Beachside candles, shared the initiative with friends, or simply sent words of encouragement—thank you. Your generosity has directly impacted people who needed it most and has left a warm, lasting glow even in the darkest of times.
