As I sit down to write this week's Sunday reflection, I'm filled with a profound sense of gratitude and inspiration. The theme that resonates deeply with me this week is the idea that we are never too small to make an impact. This week, our journey has been marked by a significant milestone: being voted into the Top 16 for the 2024's "Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin." Our humble Ukraine candle has been voted into the top 16 out of over 130 incredible businesses, including some industry giants. This recognition is not just an honor; it’s a testament to the power of believing in the ripple effect of our actions.
Reflecting on this journey, I remember the initial doubts that lingered when we launched our Ukraine candle. Skepticism surrounded us, with voices whispering that we were too small to stand out. And yet, here we are. Not only did our candle stand out, but it also allowed us to raise and donate an astounding $1M+—an outcome I never dared to imagine in my wildest dreams.
This experience has been a powerful reminder: never underestimate your ability to make waves. Whether you’re a small business, an individual volunteer, or someone pursuing a cause close to your heart, you have the power to be impactful. The size of your effort does not determine your potential to create change. What matters is the fervor, the commitment, and the belief in your mission.
As voting continues for the top 8, I am reminded that our journey is not just about winning a competition; it's about embracing the belief that every effort counts. It’s about championing the idea that everyone, regardless of size or stature, can contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
Let this serve as encouragement to each of you. Never think you don't have the power to make a meaningful difference. Your actions, no matter how minor they may seem, have the potential to inspire, influence, and ignite change. Embrace your capacity to be powerful. Let your passion guide you, and watch as you create waves of impact that resonate far beyond what you might have initially imagined.
💛Christiana
