I've been thinking a lot this week about the people we choose to keep close. Here's the thing: you don't need a huge crowd around you to feel loved. Somewhere along the way, we got the idea that a full calendar and a hundred friends means we're doing life "right." But honestly? That's just not true.
Your circle can be small. Your circle can be big. Neither is better than the other. What actually matters is who is in it. Are they the people you can be completely, unapologetically yourself around? The ones you don't have to perform for, edit yourself around, or shrink to fit? Those are your people.
And please hear me on this part: don't keep people around who make you feel nervous, anxious, or make you feel like you have to hide who you really are. Life is far too short to spend it feeling small next to the very people who are supposed to lift you up. You deserve to exhale around the ones you love. You deserve to laugh too loud, share the messy thoughts, and still feel completely accepted.
So my lesson for the week is simple — quality over quantity, always. It's not about how many people you have. It's about how comfortable, seen, and free you feel with the people you choose to keep close.
Take a moment today to think about who lets you be the real you. Then hold them a little closer.
Sending you so much love this week.
