Your GPS never says, "You made a mistake." It doesn't scold you or dwell on the wrong turn you took. Instead, it calmly says, "Recalculating route."
I think there's a profound lesson in that beautiful simplicity. We all make mistakes, don't we? We take wrong turns, miss exits, or find ourselves on roads we never intended to travel. It's part of being beautifully human. But the real question is: how do we respond? Do we sit there, stuck in regret, replaying the mistake over and over? Or do we take a deep breath, recalibrate, and find a new way forward?
Life is full of detours, and sometimes those detours lead us to places we never imagined—places we might even fall in love with. A wrong turn doesn't mean the journey is over; it just means the path is changing, and that's okay.
So today, I want to encourage you to embrace the art of recalculating.
