Overthinking never changed the outcome.
It’s such a simple truth, but one that’s so easy to forget. How often do we find ourselves trapped in endless loops of “what if”? What if they say this? What if this happens? What if, what if, what if…
And what’s the result? Nothing changes—except we’ve traded our peace of mind for worry. Overthinking doesn’t solve problems. It doesn’t prepare us for the future. It only steals the calm we already had, leaving us drained and no closer to clarity.
I’ve had to learn this lesson over and over again. When I catch myself overthinking, I’ve started to pause and ask: What are the facts? Not the fears, not the worst-case scenarios—just the facts. And then, I challenge myself to imagine the best-case scenario instead of the worst.
Because here’s the truth: overthinking has never changed the outcome. It has only stolen moments of peace that you can never get back.
So this week, let’s make a conscious effort to shift our mindset. When the “what ifs” start to creep in, remind yourself of this: Overthinking won’t change what happens next, but it will rob you of the peace you have right now.
Choose peace. Choose trust. Choose to hold onto the present moment instead.
