Sunday Reflections ✨ 3.01.26

This week, I’ve been thinking a lot about energy. Not the kind that powers our homes, but the kind that fuels our souls. Have you ever left a conversation or a gathering and felt completely drained, as if the light inside you had been dimmed? And then, on the flip side, have you ever felt that incredible sense of empowerment that comes when you create distance from that source of negativity?

It's a strange and powerful realization. Suddenly, the world looks different. The constant self-doubt that was humming in the background goes quiet. You stop replaying conversations in your head, questioning your own words and intentions. You simply feel more like yourself again—clearer, calmer, and more centered. It’s a profound reminder that we are deeply affected by the energy of those we allow into our lives.

The lesson here is one I hold close to my heart: it is not only okay, but absolutely necessary, to protect your peace by letting go of people who consistently bring you down.

I know this is so much easier said than done. Life is complicated, and sometimes the draining presence isn't a friend you can simply unfriend, but someone woven into the fabric of your daily life. In those moments where you can’t just walk away, the most powerful thing you can do is remind yourself that their negativity is not about you. It is not your weight to carry or a reflection of your worth. You can create boundaries, even small ones, to shield your spirit.

Your energy is your most precious resource. It’s what allows you to show up for your family, your work, and most importantly, for yourself. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and you shouldn’t have to constantly refill it after it’s been emptied by others.

This week, I want to encourage you to take a gentle inventory of where your energy is going. Who in your life makes you feel uplifted and seen? And who leaves you feeling heavy? Take one small step to protect your light. Maybe it's declining an invitation, limiting a conversation, or just internally reaffirming that you are not responsible for someone else's darkness.

You deserve to feel light, joyful, and whole. Guard your peace fiercely, because you are so worthy of it.
