Sunday Reflections ✨ 12.14.2025

This week, I was reminded of something so simple yet so profound: don’t wish the days away.

A dear friend and candle shop volunteer, Lisa, shared this with me during a conversation about how I was looking forward to warmer days. She agreed with my excitement but gently reminded me not to wish the days away. Ever since she spoke those words, they’ve been echoing in my mind.

We only get to live today once. Yesterday has already passed, and tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. It’s so easy to get caught up in waiting—for the next season, the next milestone, the next “better” moment. But in doing so, we risk losing sight of the beauty in the day we’re living right now.

This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t look forward to the future or feel excited about what’s to come. But it’s a gentle nudge to also cherish the present. Today is a gift, and we are so lucky to have it.

So, as we move through this week, let’s take a moment to pause and appreciate the little things—the crisp air, the laughter of a loved one, that first sip of coffee, the warmth of a candle flickering in the corner. Let’s live fully in the now, because these are the moments that make up our lives.
