There is a quiet strength in learning what to hold onto and what to let go of. This week, I found myself thinking about this in the soft glow of the afternoon light, a warm mug in my hands, a feeling of peace settling around me. Life asks so much of us, and it’s easy to believe that we always need to say yes to every request.
But I’m learning our light is a precious thing, and we get to choose where it shines. It’s okay to let a request pass you by or to let a message sit for a little while. Not every knock at the door is meant for you to open immediately. Sometimes, the kindest and wisest thing we can do is stand quietly on our own doorstep, trust our gut, and protect that wonderful energy of ours.
It’s a gentle strength to accept what isn’t yours and let it go. Your energy isn’t endless, but it is renewable—especially when you save it for the people and moments that make your world feel brighter.
As you step into this new week, I hope you remember to keep a little bit of your own light just for you.
