How to Get Started with Your Fundraiser

Starting your fundraiser with Door County Candle is simple! Follow these steps to set up your campaign and start raising funds:

Step 1: Register Your Organization

The first step is to create an organization account. Visit our Organization Registration Page and fill out the required details.

Step 2: Submit Your 501(c)(3) Certificate

Before we can officially approve your account, we’ll need a copy of your organization’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit certificate. Please email the certificate directly to fundraising@doorcountycandle.com.

*Important: Your dashboard will not be activated until we receive and approve your certificate. If you are a school district, please send us your tax exemption certificate!

Step 3: Set Up Your Fundraising Event

Once your organization is approved, you’re ready to begin fundraising! Here’s how to set up your campaign:

  1. Log in to your fundraising account.
  2. Navigate to your dashboard.
  3. Select “My Events” from the left-hand menu.
  4. Click “Add Event” to create your campaign.
  5. Copy and share your unique fundraising code with your supporters. (Each code will end in -EV1 for your first event, and as you create additional events, the sequence will continue as -EV2, -EV3, and so on)
  6. Ensure your account is set to active.

Step 4: Choose Your Event Dates

You can run your fundraiser for up to 45 days, but once you select your dates, they cannot be changed. If you need to adjust your dates, you’ll need to create a new event. So, double-check your timeline before finalizing!

Important Reminders!

  • Only products tagged as Candles Creating Change™ will count toward your fundraiser. Be sure to inform your supporters!
  • You can create as many fundraisers as you’d like once your account is approved.
  • Supporters can choose between $6.99 flat-rate shipping or free local pickup for their orders.
  • Donation checks will be mailed to the address listed on the nonprofit certificate on file.
  • Make sure supporters are putting fundraising codes in the Fundraising Code box, not the Discount Code box.
